Esthetic House CP-1 BC Intense Nourishing Shampoo 500 ml
A protein-rich, deeply nourishing shampoo from the Korean brand Esthetic House, aimed at damaged, dry or weakened hair. It is formulated to both cleanse and repair — not just removing dirt and sebum, but also reinforcing and restoring hair from roots to ends.
It’s especially suited for:
-
Dry, brittle, chemically-treated hair (bleaching, coloring, perming)
-
Hair that needs stronger protein / oil / amino acid nourishment
-
Those wanting more shine, smoothness, protection from breakage and frizz
Key Benefits
-
Intensive nourishment & repair — helps rebuild hair structure, especially for damaged ends or weakened strands.
-
Hydration & softness — restores moisture, leaving hair soft, smoother, less rough.
-
Improved manageability & shine — reduces frizz, static, makes hair easier to comb & style.
-
Protection & preventive benefits — helps shield from further damage (heat, environmental, styling) and reduces breakage.
Main Ingredients & Their Functions
Here are the primary actives and support ingredients, with what they contribute:
Ingredient | Function / Why It’s Included |
---|---|
Hydrolyzed Keratin | A key structural protein in hair; hydrolyzed form penetrates more easily, helping to fill in damaged areas, make hair stronger and reduce breakage. |
Hydrolyzed Proteins (Wheat, Soy, Rice, Corn, Silk, Elastin etc.) | Supply amino acids for rebuild, improve moisture retention, elasticity, sheen. They form a protective film and help with softness and reduce “stringy” or brittle feel. |
Collagen | Helps with moisture binding, giving volume and plumping effect; smoothes the cuticle. |
Natural Oils (Argan oil, Coconut oil, Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba oil, Camellia oil) | Provide lipid-rich nourishment, help seal the hair cuticle, protect from external damage, add shine, smoothness. Oils help in restoring softness & elasticity. |
Licorice Extract | Soothes scalp, adds some anti-inflammatory or antioxidant benefit; can help with scalp health and possibly reduce irritation. |
Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) | Moisturizer and protective; helps prevent damage from heat or environmental stressors. |
Quaternary Conditioners / Silicone-type agents (Amodimethicone etc.) | Adds smoothness, helps control frizz, makes hair feel softer; improves slip for easier combing. However, can build up if overused. |
How to Use
To get the best results from this shampoo:
-
Wet hair thoroughly. Use warm water (not too hot) to open up cuticles slightly.
-
Apply shampoo. Use a small to moderate amount, depending on your hair length / thickness. Focus on scalp first (roots), then gently work through lengths.
-
Massage. Massage scalp for a minute or two to help cleansing and stimulate blood circulation.
-
Leave for a short time (optional). Though it's a rinse-off shampoo, letting it sit for 1-2 minutes may allow the nourishing ingredients (proteins, oils) a bit of time to act.
-
Rinse thoroughly. Use lukewarm water to rinse. Make sure all residue, especially silicone / oils, are washed away so hair doesn’t look weighed down.
-
Use conditioner or mask following shampoo. Particularly if your hair is very damaged, follow with a repairing conditioner / mask (possibly from the same line) to seal in moisture and proteins.
-
Frequency. Use as needed — for damaged hair, maybe 2-3 times a week; for less damaged, maybe less often. Alternating with gentler shampoo if needed.
Potential Drawbacks / Things to Watch
-
Silicones / film-formers (e.g. amodimethicone, methylpolysiloxane): can build up over time, making hair heavy / less bouncy if not clarified periodically.
-
Strong protein + oil formulas can sometimes weigh down fine hair; might be better suited for those with medium-to-thick or already damaged hair.
-
Fragrance / essential oils / extracts might irritate sensitive scalps; patch test if needed.
-
Because it’s an intense formula, it might “feel” heavier than simpler shampoos.
